As I was driving home from the train station yesterday, I was listening to the radio as the host confirmed the worst: yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far (we'll see if July 18th still holds that place after today...)
The last thing anyone wants to do during a heatwave is apply makeup , let alone moisturizer (the thought of applying cream to your already-damp face sounds miserable), but personally, I don't need anyone in the office discovering my dark under eye-bags (thank you, Irish heritage) or faint eyelashes either. Ugh.
Well, I've found my solution, maybe it'll work for you, too!
Hourglass makes a primer serum that has moisturizing benefits. The best part? The woman at Sephora who sold it to me told me that it makes any makeup that you put on top of it waterproof. Psyched. So, I won't sweat it off walking around in the city, and when I get home and hurl myself into the pool, I won't emerge looking like a character from a horror movie. Sephora offers 3 different primers by Hourglass, but the one I use is the Noº 28 Primer Serum.

The primer moisturizes and smooths the surface of your face, so when you apply any other make up, you actually need less because everything just glides on with the help of the primer.
I've been using mine with Jouer's Luminizing Moisture Tint in 'Pearl' (I'm very pale, even in the summer haha). I have dry skin to begin with, so the Lumizing product is great for me, but if you have oily skin, give their Matte Moisture Tint a try.

Keep wandering, and stay cool!
